There is a special place in my heart for families and this beautiful genre of work was the very first stop on my photography journey.   I have personally experienced all the stages from pregnancy to motherhood and my girls are teenagers now so I know how quickly the time flies.   These incredible moments in time are fleeting and it is always an honour to connect with a family along their journey and document these precious times.  I love photographing with natural light and try to create something authentic and emotive.  My style is fresh, simplistic and dreamy and I engage with my family making them feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible while photographing the true essence of who they are and what they feel.   I am based near Richmond and I photograph in London and also the surrounding countryside.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Documenting your family time together is a very special experience.  I have put together a few questions you may have prior to and during our session.

What should I expect prior to the shoot?

 After your initial contact, I will call you to chat through your ideas and make some suggestions on the photo shoot.  We will chat about dates, locations and clothing and I can provide you with different styling options for the day.

What are your photo sessions like?

During a child or family session I work hard to make you feel at ease.  I normally take a little time getting to know the children, perhaps through play, before I blend into the background to take the shots.  There will be some gentle guidance throughout to ensure to have a wide array of images in different settings.   A newborn shoot is very different; quiet, relaxed and calm and I can pose your tiny ones if you require.  

What if the weather lets us down?

I normally mark in a back up date when we first book but if neither work we will find more availability

What happens if one of us is sick?

There is no question, we will find another date

what is your style?

Natural, creative and simplistic.   It’s also a little dreamy and I love to photograph in nature.  My editing style is light, bright and not posed.   I constantly search for the emotive shot in beautiful, natural light.  I can use some lighting or a reflector and will occasionally take shots in a studio.

What happens after the shoot?

We will plan a time a few weeks after the shoot to meet with you and review your images.   I generally offer a gallery of between 30 and  40 fully edited images for you to choose from.  I also offer a photoshop service for a small extra charge.   If you want to discuss wall art galleries, framing and printing, I would love to assist you.  I work with a small selection of experts to offer beautiful products to enhance the images.

Mini Photo Shoots from £150

I’m sure that there is no greater joy than being a mother.  I love to capture the stages of that experience for you and I offer a range of mini home or outdoor photography options for you.  I love to meet mums who are wanting to be photographed on a daily walk with their little one or just at home on the sofa.  My goal is to create a small portfolio of images that will reflect what an honour it is to be a mother.
